It Felt So Good

February 20, 2018 Casey, Mists

To be back at shooting. It had been too long in between shoots and I was feeling somewhat depressed. I had forgotten how fun it was. Casey was my model for this shoot and was wonderful. I fiddled with the below image on my iPad using photoshop and thought it was an interesting result. I am not sold on it but do like it.

Mists Session Tomorrow

February 18, 2018 Casey, Mists

Tomorrow I have my first session in a long time, my model is Casey and the title is Mists. It is a concept I’ve been working on for four years and now I can start to refine it. The studio is set and ready. More to come.

Some Updates

February 10, 2018 Uncategorized

My studio floor won’t be finished before my next shoot with Casey but should not be an issue. I am excited to finally be shooting with Casey, it’s a new project separate than Fallen Stars and Casey will be helping work out the Kinks. More to come from the shoot. I will also be eliminating those off my Facebook who have no interest in me and vice versa. I will no longer use it as a networking tool as it has hadRead More

Today, I continued to paint on the studio. The weather was just bad and I had some time. I return to class next week and my spare time will be limited so it’s good this much is done. I will finish with another coat and trim issues then I will install white linoleum flooring after leveling it.

New Year, New Projects

I will begin by filling all holes and imperfections with compound, sanding, and cleaning the walls. I will clear the room of unnecessary items then paint white. After painting I will lay down new flooring. I have been waiting to finish my studio for years now, having constant set-backs and delays. I hope to start shooting regularly at theRead More

New Resolution for 2018

December 22, 2017 Uncategorized

I have been disappointed with my shooting this year. It started with the delay in finishing Fallen Stars. That depressed me, but I have a lot of new ideas I want to work out, so for 2018 I will begin to produce new works. If you wish to work with me this upcoming year let me know. Some will be paid others trade. Who’s up for a January shoot?

My First Lighted Display

December 22, 2017 Uncategorized

It’s taken me a month to complete this project but I built a lighted display for my “Angelic” image on Kozo Double-Layered paper. It has turned out well. The estimated total cost under $100. I will continue to test it for heat buildup and other issues. This image is lighted from behind. I will construct a lighted frame from the front next. In the dark

A New Project

December 17, 2017 Uncategorized

I am creating a shadow box for one of my Kozo Double-layered images. This paper is famous for its use in Japanese Ink Drawings. It has two layers, a thick back layer to reduce ink spreading and a thin but tough front sheet for the image. These two layers are separated after image is finished.
